Seattle Fitness Studios and Gyms with Childcare

Getting in a good sweat with kiddos in tow can be a challenge. In addition to mommy and daddy being a bit tired, there’s the added complexity of nap times, feeding schedules, commuting with a child, and childcare availability. After my son was born, Barre3 was my haven. Benji’s nap schedule aligned just perfectly with class times, and he snoozed all the way through. Behind the scenes - I allocated thirty minutes to get there (we live two miles away) and arrived with a full diaper bag, sound machine, bouncer, blankie, and extra formula. I’ve always loved exploring fitness studios and gyms. After becoming a mom my sweat time significantly changed, along with my view of exercise. Moving my body has always been important to me, but I’ve learned to be a bit more flexible. If it happens today, great; if not, it’s ok. workoutwithbabyLearning how to prioritize exercise has taken some time. Now that we’re in a bit of a groove, I’ve been searching for studios/gyms with childcare, and/or flexible hours so my husband and I can swap (it’s a rarity that we can workout together). In Seattle there are tons of families moving to the city every month (thank you Amazon!), so the need for childcare has grown. I’ve rounded up all of the studios and gyms in the Emerald City with childcare options. My hope is that as the fitness community grows, so too will the options for parents. Please also let me know if one of your favorite spots isn’t listed!
